Restaurant De Roode Leeuw dates back to 1911 and enjoys an outstanding reputation, renowned for its Dutch regional specialties. With its dark panelling, Art Deco features and wooden carvings, it is considered to be an Amsterdam landmark.

The restaurant, which underwent a full refurbishment in 2006, is a unique meeting point in the heart of the city. At any time of the day you can enjoy a business appointment or an intimate meal – or a simple drink or snack.

Dutch cuisine can be a genuine artform! Once you have become acquainted with the delightful creations of our chef you will most certainly be convinced.

Between noon and 6pm the menu offers small snacks, salads, sandwiches and a choice of hot dishes, as well as more elaborate creations.

From noon until 10pm we offer an a la carte menu featuring both Dutch regional specialties and more international dishes. It is preferable to book your table in advance.
